dies wurde in rom gemalt , 1634-35 . es zeigt romulus auf der linken seite, der das signal für die entführung gibt . nicolas poussin produzierte zwei hauptversionen dieses themas , was es ihm ermöglichte, sein unübertroffenes antiquarisches wissen voll zur geltung zu bringen , zusammen mit seiner beherrschung komplizierter beziehungen von figuren in dramatischer begegnung . das gemälde befindet sich jetzt im metropolitan museum of art .
